HIPPO Study
Helping children with cerebral palsy get the right care, sooner.
A medical app that helps to read hip X-rays - supporting clinicians and giving families clearer answers.

Introduction
Families with children affected by cerebral palsy, have told us that staying on top of their care takes real effort. One of the many things that matters is watching the hips as they develop.
Children with CP can develop hip problems as they grow, and the earlier these are spotted, the simpler the treatment can be. Regular hip X-rays are a recommended part of care for most children with CP. But analysing these X-rays takes time, and results can vary slightly depending on who makes the measurements. The HIPPO study is developing software – a medical app - that can do this automatically, faster and more consistently, so that no child misses out on the monitoring they need.
